Digital Literacy Skills Questions, ready for EPSO AD5 2026
We've added 400 brand-new multiple-choice questions to our Digital Literacy Skills (DST) database, fully refreshed for the 2026 EPSO AD5 Generalists competition.
There are two ways to get them:
- Standalone: the full 400-question set for €55, in the Digital literacy skills category on the questions product page.
- Inside the updated EPSO AD5 Generalists prep package, bundled with everything else you need for the competition.
Why the DST suddenly matters
EPSO introduced the Digital Skills Test back in 2023, but it has never actually been used in a live competition. AD5 2026 (EPSO/AD/427/26) is the first time it counts.
Here's what you're sitting down to on the day:
- 40 multiple-choice questions, 30 minutes.
- Taken in your Language 2.
- Scored out of 40, pass mark 20/40.
- Worth 30% of your preliminary combined score and 25% of your final score.
It carries roughly the same weight as the EU Knowledge test. A weak pass will drag your ranking down even after you clear the threshold — and given the volume of candidates fighting for 1,490 reserve list places, ranking is the game.
What the test actually covers
The DST is built on the European Digital Competence Framework (DigComp 2.2). Five areas:
- Information and data literacy
- Communication and collaboration
- Digital content creation
- Security
- Problem-solving
You will not be asked to write code, configure a firewall, or recite an RFC. You will be asked things like: which file format keeps your layout intact across devices, what HTTPS actually protects, how to spot a phishing red flag, how to behave sensibly in a shared workspace, and what to do when a document contains tracked metadata you would rather not send.
Plenty of it overlaps with how you already use computers. The catch is that EPSO moves quickly from "do you recognise the term?" to "do you understand how it works?" — and the second one is where untrained candidates lose points.
Practice is what closes that gap.
What's in the updated AD5 package
The EPSO AD5 Generalists prep package now covers every test in the competition:
- Reasoning skills (CBT): Verbal, Numerical, and Abstract reasoning questions.
- EU Knowledge: a deep MCQ bank covering institutions, treaties, policies, and current priorities.
- Digital Literacy Skills: the new 400-question set.
- EUFTE simulations: built around the current EPSO format — you receive the background document ahead of time and write your response within a strict 40-minute window on exam day. Evaluations by a real human expert (not AI) are included in the Pro and Full packages.
Next step
If you're already prepping with us, the new DST questions are live in your dashboard.
If you're starting fresh, the simplest path is to grab the AD5 package — or, if you only need to plug the digital gap, the 400-question DST pack on its own is €55.
